Andy Chopra on business, advisory and lockdown

Andy Chopra is a business advisor who has a distinguished career within the enterprise landscape. I spoke to Andy about his current projects and how he adapted his strategy throughout the lockdown.

Andy Chopra: Working hard despite pandemic

We began by speaking about his current business workings, which have kept him busy throughout the coronavirus pandemic:

“My current role, I advise startups on business plan, market/competitor analysis, technology research and benchmarking studies, product analysis, marketing resources/ techniques, elevator pitch, investor deck presentations, funding strategies, and resources. Very exciting work and keeps me energized and motivated”.

We moved on to speak about 2020, and how for Andy, it was an extremely busy year despite the emergence of COVID-19:

“Last year was extremely good. I was working full time as the founder and partner of which provides consultancy services to other companies in AI, Machine Learning, Cloud, Blockchain, etc. We made good progress in South America with some government clients. However, business was hit in early March 2020 as the pandemic started to take a toll on all businesses and everything was shut down and no one was prepared for these times”.

Initially, it was difficult to adjust to working from home but slowly in about 3-4 weeks, I got into the rhythm and I started writing a number of articles about how the pandemic has shifted the gears of so many industries and how they have fought back and transformed their businesses”.

Andy was enthusiastic about discussing his future plans, which mainly involve him utilising his extensive knowledge to benefit startups:

I want to continue to learn new developments in the exciting world of Blockchain, Decentralized Exchanges, Atomic Swaps, Regulations, and mentor as many startups as I can to guide them towards success!”

Andy will be speaking at the North American Bitcoin Conference taking place on the 28th of January to the 29th. I asked him what he will be discussing, whilst also asking what influencers and websites he would be keeping up to date with:

“Fintech, Blockchain, Startups, Bitcoin’s skyrocket price, etc. In terms of influencers, I would keep up to date with HBR, MIT Review, Entrepreneur, Forbes, Gartner, Forrester, etc.

Before we finished, Andy spoke of LinkedIn and how this is the best place to find his work:

“Follow me on LinkedIn where I post my articles. I have posted lots of stuff that is useful for businesses and entrepreneurs”.
